Chi Nei Tsang literally means "working the energy of the internal organs" or "internal organs chi transformation." Chi Nei Tsang is a holistic approach to the healing touch modality of old Taoist Chinese origin. It integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. CNT goes to the very origin of health problems, including psychosomatic responses. CNT includes table work from a trained Practitioner, with gentle yet deep work, primarily on the abdomen, but anywhere else the body needs attention. In addition, there is self-care work, including breathwork, self-massage, movement and meditation. These help us deepen self-awareness and unwind tensions in the abdomen and throughout the body. The evening will be experiential as well as informational, as we begin to work with self-care.
Mark Bauman has been a bodywork practitioner and teacher for 35 years. His own severe intestinal problems from a very young age eventually led him to this work. He has trained in many approaches to body therapy and movement; with the main bases of his work coming from Trager and Chi Nei Tsang,.and with particular influences from vipassana meditation; dance, yoga, sports, and other movement and bodywork disciplines.
