National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) is an event that focuses on writing 50,000 words in just 30 days - but it only takes place once a year. In order to keep the words flowing onto the page throughout the year "Camp" NaNoWriMo was born. Taking place in April and July every year, Camp NaNoWriMo allows you more freedom by letting you set your own word count goal. You join a randomized "cabin" of fellow writers, and help support each other toward the finish line! The prize? Knowing that you sat down and created something magnificent—you created art. This July the Sonoma County region of NaNoWriMo is leading the charge toward a year-long writer's community by hosting a special "Camp-In" for local writers to come out of their writing caves and spend an evening in good company, with good tea and treats, and some good tunes in the background. We'll be staying up late, talking, drinking tea, and (of course) writing. ALL are welcome to participate - you do not need to have ever participated in NaNoWriMo before, or you could be a ten-year veteran of the challenge. Either way, come by and have a fantastic time. The "Camp-In" will be hosted by Many Rivers Books & Tea, and is supported by your donations.

Chelsea Harper is a "Jane" of all Trades. She has done everything from painting sets, managing theater, singing in choir, playing hand bells, making costumes, acting, and - of course - the creation of fictional worlds through her writing. She studied at the Academy of Art where she received a BFA in Illustration, and has been a dedicated ML for NaNoWriMo for several years. Storytelling is at the heart of everything Chelsea does, and she hopes to one day tell stories that will, little by little, make the world a better place.
